We couldn’t have wished for better weather than we had at the third edition of our wonderful event. On Friday and Saturday, when we were marking the trails, it rained quite a few times. Today, after the event, there were low temperatures, wind, fog, and a few drops of rain again. Even the shepherds on Velika planina said we were lucky. But luck favors the brave, or so they say 🙂
Morning was quite chilly, but the temperatures rose quickly and the venue was ready.
Next step was a presentation of the courses and a welcome speech by a representative of the Velika planina company, and soon after that we began the countdown. At exactly 10:00 a.m., all participants set off at once on three different courses, with hikers naturally choosing their own versions of the courses.
It was a day for records, as we saw record times set by the winners on both the shortest and longest routes.
